Integrating functional and structural neuroimaging into TMS for AUD.

This retrospective analysis in individuals with AUD adds to the growing body of brain stimulation literature highlighting the importance of having TMS-induced electric field intersect with the neural networks of interest in a given patient population. In this study individuals who had an overlap between the TMS-induced electric field and endogenous alcohol cue-reactivity maps were more likely to maintain enrollment and remain sober 3 months after treatment than their counterparts wherein the TMS-induced electric field did not intersect their endogenous response to alcohol cues.
